Court arrests Gazprom Neft’s official on suspect of bribery
KHANTY-MANSIYSK, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- The Salekhard City Court of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District has approved a request of the investigation to arrest a deputy of the region’s government and head of oil company Gazprom Neft’s subsidiary under a case of commercial bribery, the local Investigative Committee said in a statement on November 19.
“The Salekhard City Court, which has considered a request of investigators to choose a restraint measure for the head of a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, ruled on November 19, 2017 to place the individual in custody for two months,” the statement read.
Investigators did not disclose the name of the suspect, who received more than 1 million rubles through a mediator in exchange for specific actions in interests of commercial companies.
Local media reported that his name is Pavel Kryukov, and he is the head of Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz company.
A representative of Gazprom Neft told PRIME that the company is ready to provide necessary cooperation to investigators.
